Real Madrid vs Barcelona: Lionel Messi and The Press – El Clasico
The Spanish Press have praised Lionel Messi following his achievement against Arsenal, but their praises are somewhat inflicting fears in the heart of Real Madrid fans prior to El Clasico.
When Messi scored his four goals against Arsenal, many Spanish papers exagerated on Messi’s greatness. Here is what the press wrote:
Marca: ‘How do we stop this guy (Lionel Messi)?’
Marca online edition: ‘Messi came down from heaven to put things in their place. Arsenal were the victims of another superhuman game by Leo Messi.’
El Pais: ‘Messi snacks on Arsenal. Messi just likes playing football and scoring goals,’ they mused. ‘He is only interested in pleasure, when getting the ball he becomes competitive and settles the most difficult games. Children don’t ask but just go to play in the yard. Messi’s silences are as difficult to interpret as their silences.’
ABC: ‘History repeats itself, but it is so beautiful that no one ever tires of recounting the details.’
El Mundo Deportivo: ‘Meessi!’
AS: ‘Messi is fearful!’
Sports: ‘Megamessi. Don’t say football, say Messi. ‘How to I explain that? This is the question a journalist asks when he has to narrate yet another concert, yet another exhibition.’
El Periodico: “The Master of Europe”
Eventually, will Real Madrid be able to put an end all the praises received by Lionel Messi this weekend in El Clasico against Barcelona?
