The FC Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola is still expected to continue his talks with the rest of FC Barcelona’s managing board upon the renewal of his own contract, however, the spanish manager prefers to concentrate on a few other things.

Although Guardiola is set to stay as the Barcelona manager after the club’s presidential elections, conclusions of the contract’s issue will not be revealed until August 31.

According to Pep himself, he prefers to secure the contract of some of his best players such as, Carlos Puyol, Rafael Marquez, and of course his main guy Lionel Messi. Possibly, Guardiola will focus on acquiring a few other players on the market, preferably a midfielder and/or a defender.

Well, fans of the club are likely to hope that the coach stays, as Barcelona have done very well under his year in power. Nevertheless, no one can really tell if things will stay that positive in the near future, as in January, Pep Guardiola rejected a proposal from his club asking him to extend his contract.

Following his statements, he preferred to concentrate on more important football matters…
