News and Pictures : Lionel Messi Grabs 2 New Records After BATE's Match

Lionel Messi scored 2 of the 5 winning goals against nothing in the second Champions League group stage match versus Bate Borisov.
With the goal, Messi hit a new record as the second top scorer in Barcelona’s history. His 194 goals matches Laszlo Kubala, one of Barca legend. The other legend, Cesar Rodriguez, still recorded as the top scorer with 235 goal during 1942-1955.
The other record he achieved that day is to be Argentinian top scorer in Champions League competition with 40 goals.
And now Messi is trying to break Rodriguez’s record, which is very possible that he achieves soon.
After the match against Bate, Messi couldn’t hide his happiness to match Kubala’s record.
“I’m really happy to equate [the record] a person who was very important in the history of this club. I’m sure that I will be able to equalize Kubala’s record but I really didn’t expect to be able to do it tonight,” said Messi.
