Manchester City – FC Barcelona: Ibrahimovic for Messi?

43 views 18 August 2009

FC Barcelona are expected to face English Premier League side Manchester City in a Club Friendly on August 19. However, as Messi is expected to rest for while, Ibrahimovic could come in to solve the problem.

It will be Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s first game for Barcelona, as the Swedish International has successfully healed from a hand problem. Ibra could then make his debut and solve the issue of Messi being rested for important upcoming schedules.

Messi and Ibrahimovic seem to have a very good relationship until now, but despite the fact that Messi might not play and against billionaire side City, Zlatan could still manage to cope with the rest of his teammates to produce positive efforts in front.

Surely, everyone is curious to know how Ibra will play along with his other Barcelona players, but certainly, the match is supposed to be highly entertaining, as the former Inter Milan striker is hoping to mark his Barcelona debut with not only a goal, but also with a good performance.

Well, nothing is assured yet to the Catalans fans, but the least they can do is to hope that the new Barca signing will leave up expectation, at least to show the importance of the swap between him and Samuel Eto’o during the summer transfer window.
