Reports have affirmed that the Premier League’s richest club, Manchester City, have continued their talks to bring the Argentina star Lionel Messi from Barcelona to their club.

According to various sources, Manchester City want to make sure that if Lionel Messi was ever to leave the Catalans, they will have the upper hand in his signing negotiations.

Well, of course, one could be highly doubtful about this issue, as Messi himself has made it clear that he wouldn’t want to leave Barcelona – the club which has helped him to be who he is now.

In any case, it looks like City have put all their confidence in money, but with Jorge [Lionel Messi's father] unimpressed with the Arab billionaires’ amount of money, things are likely to stay as they are.

In other words, Barcelona and Lionel Messi will keep refusing any deal coming from the blue side of Manchester.
