The UEFA Club Player of the Year Lionel Messi recently revealed how important Argentina’s World Cup Qualifying game against Brazil was to him.

The Samba Boys are regarded as the toughest sides to beat in South America, yet, Messi believes Argentina will be able to make it on September 5, when the two sides meet.

“Beating Brazil would be the best sort of finale to the year,” said Messi while speaking to AS.

“I’ve had a great year and it would be great to finish with a win; beating Brazil would be the crowning glory.”

“It will be a difficult game but we must think only about ourselves and playing our type of football.”
