Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo

“A jealous runner-up” in last year’s Fifa Player of the Year ceremony, was the name by which many English fans portrayed the number 10 forward Lionel Messi.

However recently, the Argentine winger has kept proving them wrong by expressing his sincere thoughts toward the World Player of the Year.

“Manchester United have quality everywhere, so many good players. But if I had to pick one out it would be Ronaldo. He is a player I would pay to watch,” said Messi to The Daily Mail while speaking ahead of the big clash tonight.

“He and I are very different players but he is unbelievable, very special, and it will not be easy to stop him.”

Indeed, Cristiano Ronaldo’s greatness is undeniable; nevertheless, it is certain that his abilities aren’t good reasons enough to mess up Barcelona’s plans.

“We must not pay all attention to him and forget about Berbatov, Rooney and Carlos Tevez,” explained Messi.

“Manchester United have players all over the pitch who can punish you in the same way we have.”
Now, with such a respect and strength of mind, let’s see how Messi’s game will go tonight, in Rome.
