Despite on having a posibility to pass the season without winning any single title, Real was reportedly ready to spend big money on new players. Recently, they already sent a proposal to their rival Barcelona to win Lionel Messi with a fantastic figures that hard to resist.

Amazingly, Real Madrid is willing to buy Messi with a whooping €140 million, around £120 million – 1,5 times the amount to get the Portuguese winger out from the Old Trafford.

Lionel Messi once said that he won’t leave Barcelona, who helped him to become what he is now. Therefore, Real Madrid’s side also realize that the chance of him joining Los Blancos was probably zero, but they still made the offer anyway.

In the end, if Messi rejects the offer, it means Cristiano can still keep the title as the highest transfer fees ever paid.
