As the FIFA World Player Gala 2009 was getting closer, the Barcelona star Lionel Messi spoke to FIFA.com and a few other sources, ahead of the wonderful event. After the winning the FIFA World Player of the Year 2009, Lionel Messi also publicized his emotions regarding such a unique moment in his life.

“No, please… I am not King of the World now, nor the number one. I do not believe in those kind of things. I am the same person as always and I have the good fortune to play in a wonderful team. I don’t feel like the best, the best is Barca.”
