FC Barcelona v Manchester United Analysis

The Champions League Final – in less than 72 hours…
With less than 3 days to go, the pressure is mounting on both sides. In fact, the players have proved to handle the pressure better than their own fans. While Spanish and English supporters have been overcame by their fear ahead of the crucial game, Barcelona and Manchester United players have showed courage, determination, and strength.
Barcelona and United’s difficulties
This time around, despite their ability of scoring goals this season, FC Barcelona cannot be considered as the favorites. On the contrary, they could even be the team with more expectations behind them as they once witnessed themselves how hard it was to face defending champions Manchester United. Moreover, FC Barcelona are looking forward to complete a treble this season, and so far, we are yet to know if their dream will come true.
Manchester United too don’t have enough reasons to be regarded as the favorites, despite their success over the Spanish club a year ago. On the other hand, their chances of repeating their glorious moment in 2008 could even seem reduced, as FC Barcelona will want to overturn their disappointing moment under their former coach Frank Rikjaard.
In the end, the game is one with no favorites, and no underdogs as well. It is truly an unpredictable one, and there is no doubt that the score line will remain a mystery until the final whistle, on the night of May 27.
