FC Barcelona v Manchester City – Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic fit to play
23 views 19 August 2009The defending Spanish League Champions FC Barcelona will face Manchester City tonight in what will be a prestigious club friendly for the annual Trofeo Joan Gamper game.
Fortunately, the two stars Lionel Messi and Ibrahimovic have both been declared fit to feature in the match, following successful recoveries to their injuries.
After been sidelined due to a hand problem, the Swedish international and new Barcelona signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to make his debut tonight against English Premier League side, Man City.
Ibrahimovic travelled with the Catalan squad to the United States, however, his debut was delayed because of an operation he had on his left hand.
The 22-year old Argentine playmaker Lionel Messi is also expected to play in Barcelona’s friendly game tonight, as doctors managed to release him from pain in his muscles.
Fans will then look forward to a hot and amusing encounter, as it will be their chance to see Messi and Ibrahimovic’s first partnership in front for Barca.
