Lionel Messi hasn’t scored for Argentina for some time now, and it seems his supporters and fans of the Albicelestes are getting angry because of Messi’s incapability to emulate his great deeds and form at FC Barcelona.

Messi has been receiving critics from the Argentine Press, and Diego Maradona himself is loosing his trust in him, as Leo barely touched the balled in the first 45 minutes of Argentina’s World Cup Qualifier against Uruguay.

Having been asked by El Mundo Deportivo on this issue, his Barcelona team-mate Dani Alves declared that is was wrong to compare Lionel Messi’s form at FC Barcelona, with his form in Argentina.

“They want to make comparisons with the Messi from here [FC Barcelona], but that is a mistake because he has different team-mates here, who may take away some of the great pressure he gets in his country,” he said.

“A player of that level and of his stature, has to be prepared for all of these moments in his life and in his career.”
