Barcelona hosted Recreativo Huelva on Saturday night at the Camp Nou. The Catalans were 4-0 winners in their Champions League quarterfinals match against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
Therefore, they were expected to stamp their authority at the top the La Liga table, once again.
Barcelona scored the first goal trough Andrei Iniesta in the first half and then in second half, their lead was extended.
The score became 2-0 when Iniesta dribbled past one man, before making a low cross which was turned into an own goal.
With no Messi on the scoring sheet, Barcelona weren’t able to get a third goal; nevertheless, Pep was satisfied with the outcome of the game.
Despite their victory, Barcelona’s six points lead at the top remains after rivals Real Madrid also had a 2-0 win – even if their result was controversial.
