Lionel Messi will be in action this weekend, as La Liga leaders FC Barcelona play against Getafe on Saturday at the Camp Nou.

Barcelona are currently 5 points ahead of rivals Real Madrid, but they are yet to relax, as recent efforts from Los Blancos have showed real signs of danger against the Blaugrana.

Well, Getafe perhaps what it takes to silent the home crowd at the Estadio Camp Nou, but in one way or another, it will be unacceptable for Barca to see their team lose; after all, Coach Pep Guardiola has a full squad at his disposal.

Most of all, the man who is regarded as the Catalans’ strongest force in front – Lionel Messi – is considered fit by the medical staff of Barcelona; therefore, one could await a wonderful show on Saturday evening.

Lionel Messi got his 100th and 101st goal for the Spanish champions on January 16, and his 102nd goal a week later against Valladolid; but was unable to get his name on the scoring sheet the following week – when Barcelona travelled to Gijon.

A goal against Getafe for Lionel Messi will not only mark his 103rd goal for the club, but also will it mark his third goal against El Geta in La Liga since April 2009.

In conclusion, getting the ball at the back of the net will be significant for Messi, who looks to widen his 1-goal lead at the top of La Liga’s Top Scoring chart.
